Batkovic earns another WNBL MVP hat-trick

Townsville Fire centre Suzy Batkovic has won her sixth WNBL MVP award, edging out fellow Opals big Liz Cambage.

Townsville Fire centre Suzy Batkovic has shaded fellow Opals big Liz Cambage for the WNBL MVP award, winning it for a sixth time.

Batkovic, who has averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds a game, has completed a second MVP hat-trick, winning the award each year from 2016-18 , having previously achieved the feat from 2012-14.

Coaches and referees gave Batkovic 117 votes, 13 more than Melbourne Boomers centre Cambage, with the two to line up against each other in game two of the grand final series on Thursday.
