Oliver Struempfel works at the Gillemoos beer festival in the Bavarian town of Abensberg.
Every year the town celebrates Volksfest - a festival of music, food, and of course, traditional German brews.
And there was an added reason to celebrate this year after Oliver Struempfel succeeded in setting a new world record for the most German mugs of beer - or Masskrug - ever carried.
Mr Struempfel carried 27 Masskrug, with a total weight of about 62 kilograms, for a distance of 40 metres.
The world record holder said he has had lots of practice and began training when he was a teenager.
"I have worked here in the beer tent for the past 17 years, so I have had lots of training in carrying the beer mugs.
"However, my personal best is 26 mugs at once, which is more than 60 kilograms. But it is no longer enough to just carry the mugs, you have to support the training by going to the gym, especially in Winter when you don't get much time carrying the beer mugs."
He said the training does not come without risks.
"Of course it has happened to me before that some beer mugs have fallen down; three years ago 23 beer mugs fell down at once."
