Ben Mendelsohn has missed out on winning what would have been his first Golden Globe.

The award for Best Supporting Actor went to Christian Slater for his role in TV series Mr Robot.

Mendelsohn had been nominated for his supporting role in the Netflix thriller Bloodline.
