The No.1 pick in next month's AFL draft remains up for grabs, St Kilda having already knocked back four clubs.
The Saints promised to shop around the prized draft selection and have been doing as much over the past fortnight.
With a lack of superstars on the market, St Kilda list manager Ameet Bains and his colleagues have been considering the merits of swapping the wooden spooner's reward for a bundle of draft picks.
Bains confirmed the Saints received a couple of enticing offers on Wednesday.
"Neither of those were attractive enough to do something," Bains said.
"(The club was) not very close (to agreeing to a trade).
"It was the first time we've sat down as a full list management committee and had a robust discussion about it.
"But, with 24 hours to go in the trade period and a few more deals having gone through, we expect there to be a few more approaches."
Bains suggested his club were keeping an open mind but, given the talent on offer in the draft, it would need to be a "very compelling" offer.
Trade period ends at 2pm (AEDT) on Thursday.
Saints head of football Chris Pelchen tipped there would be a "bidding frenzy" for the No.1 pick in the final hours of the post-season frenzy.
"I'd say the interest is growing," Pelchen told radio station SEN.
