Big ad spend on dumped Vic projects

The former Victorian government spent more than $1 million a month advertising its transport projects in the lead up to the 2014 election.

Almost $5 million was spent advertising Victorian transport projects that won't get built.

In the four months leading up to the 2014 election, the former Napthine government spent more than $1 million each month advertising the now-dumped East West Link and the now-scrapped Melbourne airport rail link.

The projects, some of which weren't due to be completed until 2026, were scrapped by the Labor government.
