Gang crime officers in Perth have seized 15 weapons, including a pistol with silencer and a submachine gun, more than two kilograms of methylamphetamine and $340,000 in cash from a man with suspected Mongols bikie links.
They raided a home in suburban Perth last week, accompanied by the dog squad, and discovered a fortified front door protecting several purpose-built concealed storage areas.
The entrance to the basement of the house had been disguised within the floor of the living room, with most of the contraband discovered underneath.
That included eight semi-automatic pistols with one fitted with a silencer, seven rifles including a Thompson submachine gun and an SKS military assault rifle, gun parts and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Police also seized 2.1kg of methylamphetamine and 460g of MDMA ecstasy.
The raid, which lasted almost 24-hours due to the size of the seizures, led to a 37-year-old Belmont man being charged with possession of drugs with intent to sell or supply, and will appear in court on Tuesday.
Police believe he is linked with the Mongols bikie gang.
WA's proceeds of crime squad is also investigating the man's interest in five properties dotted around the state.
