Birdman and Grand Budapest Hotel dominate Oscar nominations

A former cinema superhero and a hotel manager framed for murder will be leading the charge at next month's Academy Awards.

A former cinema superhero and a hotel manager framed for murder will be leading the charge at next month's Academy Awards.

Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel have each received nine nominations, including best picture.

But as Manny Tsigas reports, some of the nods have been met with howls of protest.
