A massive explosion has rocked a chemical plant in eastern China, but it's unclear if anyone was seriously injured in the blast.
Chinese state media has provided little detail after the explosion in Fujian province.
State radio reports the blast occured at a plant that produces paraxylene, a toxic chemical used in making polyester fibre and plastics.
Vision of the explosion shows flames shooting in the air and a raging fire consuming the facility.
CCTV reported that one person has been wounded by the explosion and that more than 400 rescue workers and 85 fire vehicles had rushed to the scene to try to contain the fire.
The Zhangzhou fire department says pictures circulating on social media purporting to show dead and injured are fake.
PX plants have been highly controversial in China because residents who live nearby fear pollution from them.
Plans to build such plants previously caused protests among residents with the most recent being last year in the southern Chinese city of Maoming.
