A Sydney man accused of partially blinding his neighbour by pouring liquid chlorine over his fence and splashing the man's face has faced court.
Giovanni Mancuso, 31, appeared briefly at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday charged with using a corrosive liquid to cause grievous bodily harm and destroying property.
His strict conditional bail will continue until he faces court again on May 25.
His alleged victim had been playing on his trampoline with his child in the backyard of their North Bondi home on the afternoon of Sunday, March 6.
Police will allege that after the child had gone inside, Mancuso deliberately threw the chlorine over the fence, injuring the man and badly damaging the trampoline.
Paramedics took his alleged victim to Sydney Eye Hospital, where the man was told he had permanent damage to his eyesight.
Mancuso appeared in court flanked by his lawyer on Wednesday morning, where the address for his bail was changed but other conditions remained in place.
His next court appearance has been set down for Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court.
