Carlton have confirmed Dale Thomas will return to face ladder leaders Greater Western Sydney on Sunday at Etihad Stadium.
Thomas is one of three inclusions in the Blues' final 22 alongside Liam Jones and Jed Lamb, with young livewire Sam Petrevski-Seton managed and Nick Graham and Harrison Macreadie both dropped.
The Giants have made one change, with wily veteran Steve Johnson recovering from a knee injury to return in place of Daniel Lloyd.
Hawthorn forward Luke Breust (illness) has withdrawn from Saturday's game against Gold Coast, replaced by Kade Stewart.
Callum Ah Chee earlier pulled out of the Suns' side for the MCG clash, with rookie Ben Ainsworth taking his spot.
