The bodies of a 47-year-old woman and her nine-year-old son have been found in a home on the NSW Central Coast.

Police say the bodies, who are believed to be Erica Bond and her son Lachlan, were discovered at Kilpa Road, Wyongah just before 2pm on Tuesday.

"Detectives continue to investigate but no other parties are being sought in relation to this incident," a police spokesman told AAP.

Lachlan attended Tuggerawong Public School, where principal Grant McFarland said support would be made available for students.

"The school will have a carefully planned approach to supporting all students … Our heartfelt thoughts are with our much-valued student's family and friends," he posted on Facebook.

"The staff and I appreciate the tremendous support of our parents and our broader school community at this challenging time. Our heartfelt thoughts are with our much-valued student’s family and friends at this time."
