A body has been found floating in Sydney Harbour near The Rocks and police are at the scene.

A body has been found floating in Sydney Harbour near The Rocks.

Police have been called to the scene at Hickson Road, a police spokeswoman confirmed.

A member of the public called triple-zero on Wednesday about 7am after seeing the body near Campbell Cove jetty, Fairfax Media reports.

The body has been retrieved by water police.
