Body found in Victorian lake

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a body which has been found in a lake in Victoria's high country.

A body found in a Victorian lake may have been there for up to two days.

Police were called to Lake Dartmouth near the NSW border just after 1pm on Saturday, where the body was found face down.

It's not known if the body is that of a man or a woman and police say no more information is available because of the remote location of the lake.
