Body of missing man found in NSW

Police say the body of an unidentified man who was seen being swept down the Hastings River in NSW has been found.

The body of a man who disappeared in the Hastings River on the NSW north coast has been found.

The unidentified man's body was located at Queens Head, near Port Macquarie, on Friday afternoon, police said.

Three NSW surf and lifesaving clubs, water police, rescue helicopters and marine rescue teams on Friday morning searched around the mouth of Hastings River after a witness told police he had seen the man being taken out to sea by the river's current late on Thursday night.
