Body on sunken trawler off WA was skipper

The body of a man found inside a prawn trawler that sank off WA's Pilbara coast has been identified as owner and skipper Murray Turner.

Police have identified the man whose body was found inside a sunken trawler off Western Australia's Pilbara coast as the vessel's owner and skipper Murray Turner.

The 57-year-old and crew members Mason Carter, 26, and Chad Fairley, 30, failed to come back to Point Samson near Karratha in their 13-metre trawler on July 15 as scheduled.

The prawn trawler, named the Returner, was found on August 2 with Mr Turner still on board.

Coastline searches continue as the other two men have not been found.
