NBA champion Andrew Bogut has sat out another session with the Boomers as he continues to battle soreness ahead of Saturday's opening Olympic qualifying match against New Zealand.

Bogut was benched for Australia's final European tour game last week and again did not play in a practice clash on Wednesday with Melbourne United.

"We're just resting Boges because he's a bit sore," assistant coach Luc Longley told AAP.
