Bogut ruled out again for Golden State

Andrew Bogut has been ruled out again for Golden State with a knee injury.

Australian centre Andrew Bogut is sitting out his fourth straight NBA game for the Golden State Warriors with an injured knee.

The team now describe his right knee tendinitis as bone edema and chondromalacia with the Warriors updating Bogut's condition shortly before Tuesday night's game in Memphis.

The seven-foot Bogut had his knee drained and sat out back-to-back games last weekend.

He left a win at Minnesota with the injury early in the first quarter on December 8.

Edema causes bone marrow to swell and absorb fluid and can be very painful.

Bogut is averaging 7.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and three assists in 20 games for the Warriors (21-2).
