He might have spent most of the last NBA season sitting courtside, yet Andrew Bogut is Australia's equal-richest athlete aged 40 or under.
The mammoth basketballer joined soccer star Harry Kewell at No.36 on this year's BRW Young Rich list - the highest of any other Australian sportsperson with an estimated wealth of $50 million.
Bogut is in his final year of his five-year, $US60 million ($A65.15 million) contract with the Golden State Warriors.
Despite missing 50 of 82 games during the regular season due to an ankle injury, the 28-year-old Victorian added $10 million to his worth in the past 12 months.
That could jump even further next year if manages to clinch another lucrative deal with the Warriors.
"He's still young so there's no reason why his wealth couldn't continue to grow very strongly," BRW Young Rich editor Andrew Heathcote told AAP.
"We've actually said he's probably best-placed to become our first $100 million sportsman (40 years or under), assuming he maintains his form and fitness."
Formula One driver Mark Webber ($48 million), Masters golf champion Adam Scott ($45 million) and tennis veteran Lleyton Hewitt ($35 million) rounded out the top five sportspeople on the list.
Retired MotoGP champion Casey Stoner - who drives in V8 Supercars' second-tier category - and former Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting have entered the list for the first time.
At 27, Stoner is the youngest person on the rankings with a wealth of $20 million.
The pair sit alongside Young Rich-veterans Hewitt, Pat Rafter and golfer Karrie Webb, who have been included in all 11 editions.
The BRW Young Rich list features the 100 wealthiest self-made Australians aged 40 and under and excludes people who have inherited their wealth.
