Bogut's Warriors beat NBA champion Heat

Andrew Bogut's Golden State Wariors have extended their NBA winning streak to seven games with a defeat of defending champions Miami.

P - Andrew Bogut's Golden State Warriors have downed defending champions Miami Heat, extending their run as the NBA's hottest team.

The Warriors took their winning streak to seven games as they inflicted only the third home court loss suffered by LeBron James and the Heat this season.

"They played a heck of a ball game," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "They deserved to win this one."

Superstar guard Stephen Curry scored 36 points and handed out 12 assists while forward David Lee scored 32 points and claimed 14 rebounds for the Warriors.

Australian centre Bogut had an uncharacteristically low impact on the game stats with three rebounds and six points from his 17 minutes on court.

Curry was 13 for 22 from the field and 8 for 15 with three-point attempts.

"Curry was spectacular," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said. "If he doesn't make the All-Star team, I might retire."

James, who had 22 points for the Heat, agreed.

"One of the best shooters this NBA will see," James said. "I mean, if you can find a better shooter than him right now, especially with the way he handles the ball...you just hope that he misses."

Dwyane Wade added 22 for the Heat, who had all five starters in double figures but allowed Golden State to shoot 56 per cent, make 15 of 29 tries from three-point range, and finish with a 40-31 rebounding edge.

Elsewhere, New York's two struggling teams surprised a pair of power Western Conference clubs on the road.

The New York Knicks, with Carmelo Anthony back in the lineup after an ankle injury, beat the San Antonio Spurs 105-101, while the Brooklyn Nets defeated the San Antonio Spurs 95-93.

Iman Shumpert scored a career-high 27 points, including the tiebreaking tip-in and Anthony had 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Knicks, who ended a three-game losing streak.

For the Nets, meanwhile, Deron Williams had a season-high 29 points and Paul Pierce scored 18 while Kevin Durant led Oklahoma City with 24 points.

In other games, the Portland Trail Blazers matched a club record by sinking 21 3-pointers, shooting 63.6 percent from behind the arc, in a 134-104 rout of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Cleveland's Anderson Varejao hit two crucial jumpers in overtime and tied a franchise record with a career-high 25 rebounds as the Cavaliers beat the Orlando Magic 87-85 to end a six-game losing streak.

Chicago's Joakim Noah had 17 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists to lead the Bulls past the Boston Celtics 94-82.

The Memphis Grizzlies overcame a career-high 33 points from Slovenian Goran Dragic to defeat the Phoenix Suns 99-91 on the road.

Philadelphia's Thaddeus Young had 28 points and Evan Turner added 24 as the 76ers defeated the Sacramento Kings 113-104 for their third straight victory.

And the Utah Jazz held off the Milwaukee Bucks 96-87 in a matchup of teams with the worst records in each conference.
