Golden State have sole possession of top spot in their division, and Australian centre Andrew Bogut claims the Warriors are starting to establish an NBA identity.
The Warriors moved to 8-3 for the season on the back of a 98-87 win over Utah on Monday, leaving them alone in first place in the Pacific Division following the LA Clippers' 106-102 loss to Memphis.
Bogut backed up his first double-double of the season with another strong defensive display for the Warriors - 13 rebounds, eight points and four blocks keeping the struggling Jazz at bay.
"It's been a great start," Bogut told nba.com.
"One of the our best starts in the last decade or so.
"I like what we are doing. We are starting to get an identity, especially defensively."
They are also looking good with the ball too, guards Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes going a combined nine of 16 from beyond the arc - Curry leading the way with 22 points.
Meanwhile, Zach Randolph had 26 points and 15 rebounds as the Grizzlies overcame the first-quarter ejection of guard Tony Allen to beat the Clippers.
Allen was charged with a flagrant-2 foul with 1:51 left in the opening quarter after he lifted his left leg in a vain attempt to impede Chris Paul's drive to the basket and kicked him in the face.
Blake Griffin had 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers, while Paul had 18 points and 11 assists for his 11th straight double-double, the most by any player from the start of a season since Magic Johnson in 1990-91.
In New York, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points as Portland downed Brooklyn 108-98 for their seventh straight victory.
The Trail Blazers (9-2) are just a half-game behind San Antonio and Indiana for the NBA's best record.
Chicago's Luol Deng scored 21 points as the Bulls recorded their fifth straight win with an 86-81 victory over Charlotte.
Kevin Durant scored 38 points for Oklahoma City and Russell Westbrook had 30 points and 12 rebounds as the Thunder came back to edge Denver Nuggets 115-113.
Westbrook also had seven assists in a terrific all-around game that helped Oklahoma City erase a 14-point deficit in the second half.
In Monday's other clash, the Dallas Mavericks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 97-94.
