Boks without two for return Pumas Test

Halfback Fourie du Preez and new prop Trevor Nyakane have not travelled with South Africa for their return Test in the Rugby Championship.

The Springboks have travelled to Argentina for their next Test in the Rugby Championship without scrumhalf Fourie du Preez and new prop Trevor Nyakane.

The South African Rugby Union says it was agreed that Du Preez would not be available for any of the away games against Argentina, Australia and New Zealand after he returned from a two-year international absence by scoring a try in Saturday's 73-13 hammering of the Pumas in Soweto.

The union said Nyakane had been dropped from the squad that left for Argentina on Sunday morning for "repeated breaches of team protocol". The team wouldn't elaborate on details.

In place of the pair, halfback Piet van Zyl and front-rower Lourens Adriaanse have been called up. The Springboks play the Pumas in Mendoza on Saturday.
