Bolt's Wimbledon hopes dashed by Edmund

Alex Bolt has been dumped out of Wimbledon by British No.1 Kyle Edmund in straight sets.

Alex Bolt has crashed out of Wimbledon after going down in straight sets to local hope Kyle Edmund.

The South Australian went down 6-2 6-3 7-5 on Court No.1 after spurning a glorious chance to take the match to a fourth set.

Serving for the set at 5-4, qualifier Bolt inexplicably played at a shot that was heading over the tramlines and into the net with the scores at deuce.
