Test great David Boon says it's a huge honour to join Matthew Hayden and women's pioneer Betty Wilson as inductees into Australian cricket's Hall of Fame.
The trio will be formally inducted at the Allan Border Medal function in Sydney on Monday night.
"It's an enormous honour," Boon told reporters on Sunday.
"To join some of those great players from past eras, some of the guys that I played with as well, it's a huge honour and something that is going to be very special to my family and I for a long period of time."
Boon made more than 7400 runs in his 107 Tests in the 1980s and 1990s while Hayden scored more than 8600 in his 103 Tests.
"I feel, obviously, very privileged," Hayden said.
"I fell in love with the game listening to it on a transitor radio on the back of the tractor in the shed of my dad's property. In some ways, that was pro but it was also a con.
"The pro side is I was very free when I came to the game, I had no expectations, I took every day as it came.
" ... It was a very free journey of how good I could actually get over a long period of time as opposed to thinking it was my right to play for Australia, I never believed that."
Allrounder Wilson played 11 Tests in the 1940s and 1950s and had stellar averages with the bat - 57.46 - and with the ball - 11.80.
Wilson died in 2010 and, two years ago, was named in the ICC's Hall of Fame.
