Boston Marathon bombings remembered one year on

Americans have taken to social media to show their support for Boston one year after the bombings which killed three people and injured more than 260.

Friends, family and supporters of the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings gathered for a minute of silence led by Vice President Joe Biden near the finish line of the famous race on Boylston Street.

Twitter users from the US and around the world showed their support through the #BostonStrong hastag.
