Bouncers bailed after Vic street stabbing

Three men charged after a man was chased from a Melbourne nightclub and stabbed have been granted bail.

Three Melbourne nightclub bouncers, charged after an allegedly armed and violent man was chased from their venue and stabbed, have been granted bail.

Remzi Orcanoglu, 36, has been in custody since his arrest on Saturday for the stabbing that left 24-year-old Cinar Peker in hospital with serious injuries.

Police allege Peker slashed one of the bouncers at CQ nightclub on Queen Street with a knife on Thursday night, before he was chased-down and attacked.

Orcanoglu, of Lalor, faces 10 charges including causing serious injury through gross violence, four counts of recklessly causing injury, one count of assault with a weapon.

In court on Tuesday, Magistrate Peter Lauritsen said the victim had made no formal statement as he was seeking advice about allegations he arrived at the nightclub armed with a knife.

"It appears he has delayed making his statement while he receives legal advice," Magistrate Lauritsen said.

Orcanoglu has also been charged with robbing another man of his iphone worth $500 and recklessly causing him injury.

Magistrate Lauritsen described Orcanoglu as the ring-leader of the group, during the filing hearing where he granted bail.

"The accused has no prior matters where it appears that the victim does," Magistrate Lauritsen said.

Two other men also faced court on Tuesday charged in relation to the incident and were granted bail.

Sinan Akkurt, 32, and Yusuf Ozenoglu, 27, have each been charged with causing serious injury through gross violence, recklessly causing serious injury through gross violence, four counts of recklessly causing injury, one count of assault with a weapon.

Akkurt has also been charged in relation to the alleged iphone theft and injuries caused to the second victim.
