Boy, 14, stabbed in Melbourne fight

A 14-year-old boy suffered serious injuries when he was attacked and stabbed by a group of men in Melbourne, with police searching for witnesses.

A 14-year-old boy is recovering in a Melbourne hospital after being attacked by a group of men and slashed across the chest with a knife.

Police say he was set upon on Saturday night on Claredon Street in Cranbourne, in the city's southeastern outskirts, around 10pm (AEDT).

He's been sent to the Royal Children's Hospital, where he's listed in a serious condition.

No one has been arrested over the attack with police searching for more witnesses.

The boy is from Narre Warren, not far from where the stabbing occurred.
