Boy charged with armed robbery at Logan

A 14-year-old boy has been charged over the armed robbery of a convenience store at Logan Central.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with the armed robbery of a convenience store in Logan, south of Brisbane.

Police allege the boy implied he had a weapon and demanded cigarettes and cash from the attendant at the convenience store on Wembley Road, Logan Central just before midnight on Wednesday.

The attendant handed over a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes and the boy fled the scene.

He was found by police a short time later.

The 14-year-old Marsden teenager has been charged with one count each of burglary, armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
