Ageless spinner Brad Hogg will step out for another Big Bash League season with the Perth Scorchers at the age of 43.
Hogg retired in 2008, having claimed 156 one-day international wickets and won two World Cups.
The popular tongue-out wrist-spinner never came to terms with life after cricket, signing up with the Scorchers for the inaugural BBL season in 2011.
Perth announced on Thursday he would be back for a fourth BBL campaign.
Should the Scorchers again progress to the final, Hogg will be rolling the arm over some nine days short of his 44th birthday.
Along the way he has twice been called up to the national Twenty20 side, this year becoming the oldest man to play cricket for Australia since Clarrie Grimmett in 1936.
"The body is feeling great and the mind is just the same as ever. It's feeling like an 18-year-old," Hogg said.
"I know my career is coming to an end. It's going to come to an end quicker than it will extend, we all know that.
"I just want to enjoy every moment and I'm just excited."
The Scorchers also re-signed skilful Pakistani bowler Yasir Arafat as one of their two international players.
