Bradley Cooper left his underwear behind

US actor Bradley Cooper admits he went commando to last Tuesday's state dinner in Washington DC.

Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper didn't wear any underwear during his visit to the White House last week.

Cooper was among the guests at a state dinner in Washington, DC last Tuesday night.

The star says his suit pants were a little too tight so ended up mingling with politicians and world leaders without wearing any underwear.

He tells US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, "I had to go commando - number one cause there was no room at all (in the tuxedo). I did. I had to ... So it was really great. And you have to walk up the stairs and it was a nightmare. But I made it through."
