Brandis heading to Jordan to talk security

Australia's attorney-general is to meet with Jordan's national security ministers and agencies for talks on tackling terrorism.

Attorney-General George Brandis is heading to Jordan for security and intelligence-sharing talks.

Senator Brandis says Jordan is one of the states in the Middle East playing a constructive role in the war against Islamic terrorism.

"I will be looking for opportunities to deepen Australia's co-operation and intelligence-sharing with the Jordanian authorities," he told Network Ten on Sunday.
