Brawling Tigers, Dees accept AFL fines

Nathan Jones, Jack Viney, Trent Cotchin and Jack Riewoldt have accepted their fines for an Anzac Day eve melee.

A brawl instigated by Richmond captain Trent Cotchin in the Tigers' stirring Anzac Day eve AFL match with Melbourne has proved costly for the clubs' on-field leaders.

Nathan Jones, Jack Viney (both Melbourne) and Jack Riewoldt were each fined $2500 for their third melee offence, while Cotchin was served a $1500 fine himself.

All four accepted their punishments on Wednesday.

The Anzac Day match won by Essendon produced no reports.
