Olympic champions Brazil have beaten host Japan in straight sets to clinch the volleyball World Grand Champions Cup.
The South Americans claimed the title with a 29-27, 25-14, 25-18 victory, with Fernanda Rodrigues finishing top scorer in the final with 16 points.
Brazil became the first team to win the title twice following their 2005 triumph. They finished the tournament with a perfect 5-0 record for 15 points.
"We made some mistakes in the first set," Brazil captain Fabiana Claudino said. "But we picked up in the second and third sets and started blocking, defending and serving well."
The US secured the silver medal with a 25-14, 25-16, 21-25, 25-18 win over the Dominican Republic. Lauren Paolini was the top scorer for the Americans with 19 points, while Kelly Murphy and Jordan Larson-Burbach had 16 each.
Japan finished third to claim the bronze medal. Russia took fourth ahead of Thailand, despite their 3-1 defeat to the Thailanders, following a better win-loss ratio.
