Cedric Jackson added the flourish as the New Zealand Breakers produced a solid effort to down Townsville 84-70 in the NBL.
The classy point guard, who is battling a painful elbow injury, produced a game-high 17 points, as well six assists, five rebounds and two steals.
The result in Auckland improved the Breakers' record to 4-2 and consolidated their position in the top three.
Corey Webster contributed 15 points, Ekene Ibekwe 13 and Tom Abercrombie 12 and six rebounds.
The Breakers won the battle of the boards as they produced a strong defensive effort.
They put the shackles on Brian Conklin, who had gone into the match as the league's leading scorer with an average of 23 points.
Conklin could muster only three points after landing one of 13 field goal attempts.
In all, the Crocodiles shot at just 36 per cent from the field, with their leading scorers being Mickell Gladness with 14 and Clint Steindl with 13 each.
Steindl's haul came in a three-minute stretch on either side of the first-quarter break.
Despite the defeat, the Crocodiles remain fifth with a 2-3 record.
Jackson was at the forefront as the Breakers made a fast start.
When he finished a steal with a basket, he had helped the home side open up a 20-7 lead.
That sparked a comeback from Townsville who, on the back of Steindl's brief, hot shooting, hit the front for the first time early in the second quarter.
The contest then developed into a grind, before Abercrombie followed up a three-pointer with two free-throws to push the Breakers out to a five-point advantage.
From there, the home side were able to continue to open out the gap gradually.
