Brett Morris will reprise his fullback role for Canterbury in Sunday's NRL elimination final against Penrith.

Morris moves from the left wing into the custodian role in place of Will Hopoate, who will sit out the match due to his religious beliefs.

Tyrone Phillips comes onto the wing for Morris.

NSW and Australian representative Morris starred at fullback last year for the Bulldogs, after moving there from the flank in his first season at Belmore after a move back from St George Illawarra.

He missed the opening two-thirds of this season due to a knee injury. That opened the way for Hopoate to play fullback after his off-season move from Parramatta.

Canterbury welcome back bench forward Sam Kasiano from suspension for the sudden-death clash. But they continue to be without Sam Perrett due to a neck problem.

Penrith's team is unchanged from their big final-round win over Manly.

North Queensland prop Matt Scott has been named to make his return from a finger injury for Saturday's qualifying final against Melbourne at AAMI Park.

Scott Bolton moves back to the bench and Patrick Kaufusi falls out of the visitors' side.

Melbourne are unchanged from their win over Cronulla last weekend that clinched the minor premiership.

Cronulla centre Ricky Leutele returns for Saturday evening's qualifying final against Canberra at GIO Stadium. Gerard Beale shifts back to the Sharks' bench.

Joseph Paulo will miss the match due to a knee injury.

Both Brisbane and Gold Coast are unchanged from their last-round sides for Friday night's elimination final at Suncorp Stadium.
