Breville awaits Christmas cheer

Appliance distributor Breville is holding off on giving full-year guidance ahead of the key Christmas trading period.

Appliance giant Breville is continuing with a transformation of its business and product range but says it is too early to give guidance on full-year performance ahead of the key Christmas trading period.

Breville chairman Steven Fisher told the company's annual general meeting that trading to the end of October had been in line with expectations but declined to give guidance ahead of the crucial November-December period.

Mr Fisher said business conditions remain challenging, particularly in the Australian mid-market segment.
