Federal Labor is prepared to fight an election on the issue of superannuation, shadow treasurer Chris Bowen says.
The opposition says there are billions of dollars in budget savings to be found from cutting back on superannuation concessions for high-income earners.
"I read that Tony Abbott wants to make superannuation an election issue - bring it on," Mr Bowen told the National Press Club in Canberra on Wednesday.
