He could do without anymore refereeing blunders against his team but Brisbane coach Anthony Griffin believes the Broncos' task gets easier with each week that passes in the NRL.
Friday's 30-22 win over St George Illawarra at Suncorp Stadium despite a shocking error from referee Ben Cummins, who sin-binned forward Matt Gillett in the second-half, means the Broncos will almost certainly play finals if they beat Melbourne at AAMI Park.
The victory over the Dragons was the Broncos' third straight at home and Griffin says the equation is easy for his team - win and you're in.
"It's simple now," Griffin said.
"We've been in this boat for four or five weeks. It just keeps getting simpler and simpler every week.
"If we get an opportunity, which I hope we do, I'm sure we'll have a good game of football in us."
The Broncos head south hoping to take their attacking verve from Brisbane with them on the road.
Their past three wins at home have included 21 tries, with veteran Justin Hodges excelling as a makeshift fullback while halfback Ben Hunt was a star in the first half against the Dragons.
Standing in the Broncos way is a disappointing record in Melbourne, where they've lost their past three matches against the Storm.
Hodges says the way his teammates managed to hold onto a result against the Dragons despite the confusion and outrage over the refereeing blunder will be something to draw on going into the Storm clash.
"Playing with 12 players against a quality side in the Dragons, they're a great side and they were playing for their season as well," he said.
"This is what we play for. You're playing for your season and there's no better place than taking on Melbourne down there, it's the biggest challenge probably of the season for us.
"Can't wait for it."
