A man who sparked a nine-hour siege at a inner-Brisbane unit has been remanded in custody.

Colin Wayne Blair, 44, was refused bail during his appearance at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.

Blair allegedly made a threatening phone call to police and claimed to have weapons on Thursday night, prompting the lengthy stand-off at the Bowen Hills unit.

He is due to reappear in court on October 9.
