Australia's Fed Cup women's tennis semi-final against Germany will be played at Pat Rafter Arena in Brisbane over Easter weekend.

Brisbane has been chosen to host Australia's bid for a long-awaited spot in tennis' Fed Cup final.

Tennis Australia has announced the Australian women's team will play their home semi-final against Germany - Australia's first semi since 1993 - at Pat Rafter Arena in the Queensland Tennis Centre over Easter weekend, April 19-20.

Australia and Germany have met 12 times in Fed Cup, with Australia holding an 8-4 advantage.

The most recent meeting was in 2012 in Stuttgart, when Australia won the World Group Play-off clash 3-2.
