British walker breaks 3000m record

British race walker Tom Bosworth has shaken off two yellow cards to set a world record over 3000m at the London Stadium.

British race walker Tom Bosworth has set a world record at the London Stadium when he clocked 10 minutes 43.09 seconds over 3000m.

The 28-year-old was yellow-carded twice on Saturday but avoided a race-ending third caution to win and break his own record at the Anniversary Games.

Bosworth won silver in the men's 20km race walk at the Commonwealth Games in April, having been disqualified at the World Championships last summer.
