Rookie Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen struggled as the Denver Broncos got their NFL campaign back on track with a crushing 45-10 away win.

Rosen threw three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, was sacked six times and had three fumbles as the Cardinals slipped to 1-6 and remained winless at home this season.

Denver, who had lost their past four games, improved to 3-4 after scoring 21 points in the first quarter alone.

Rosen threw two pick sixes - to Todd Davis and Chris Harris Jr - either side of a trick play from the Denver offence that saw Emmanuel Sanders throw 28 yards for fellow wide receiver Courtland Sutton to take a diving catch in the end zone.

Denver took just 20 seconds and one offensive play to score again in the second quarter and extend their lead to 28-3, as Case Keenum connected with Sanders for a 64-yard touchdown.

Rosen was also sacked twice before half-time, while Denver scored another touchdown 21 seconds before the interval as Royce Freeman burst over from one yard.

Arizona's sole touchdown came when Rosen found Larry Fitzgerald with a four-yard throw in the third quarter but Phillip Lindsay ran in 28 yards to respond for the Broncos.

Rosen threw his third interception of the game in the fourth quarter, while Broncos linebacker Von Miller finished the game with two sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
