Luke Brooks has rubbished suggestions he and Wests Tigers halves partner Mitchell Moses are incapable of working with Robbie Farah.
The NSW Origin hooker is expected to return from a head knock in their NRL clash against Penrith on Sunday and Brooks says they will only be stronger for his presence.
Farah's dynamic with the young playmakers is under the microscope due to the side's superior record when he's on the sidelines however Brooks says it's unfair to tarnish him in that way.
"I think we've played some of our best footy when Robbie's been there," Brooks told AAP.
"I think just at the start of the year we weren't playing our best footy and that came down to us.
"But over the last few weeks I think we've started to play some good footy and hopefully we can continue that this week."
Rumours of a fresh feud between Farah and coach Jason Taylor flared after he was asked to start from the sidelines earlier this month - claims denied by the club.
His manager has also shot down rumour he is headed for an early exit from his contract at the end of the year.
He is again expected to start from the bench against the Panthers at ANZ Stadium on Saturday afternoon with Dene Halatau to start.
Halatau has been cleared to play after suffering a concussion in Sunday's 29-20 loss to Melbourne.
The Tigers have won just two of six with Farah this year but are 4-3 without him, leading to questions about his place in the side.
Veteran Cronulla hooker Michael Ennis has said Farah is better off leaving the club because he appears incapable of gelling with Brooks' and Moses' playing style.
However Brooks said it wasn't Farah's fault they hadn't peaked.
"I think that's unfair," Brooks said.
