Tim Broomhead has earned an AFL Rising Star nomination for his role in Collingwood's 42-point win over Greater Western Sydney.
The midfielder tallied 25 possessions and kicked a goal at the MCG on Sunday.
"We saw his clean handling, high work rate and finishing stand out throughout the game," Magpies coach Nathan Buckley said.
Glandular fever and a broken wrist curbed Broomhead's development after he was drafted with pick No.20 in the 2012 draft.
"It's been a relatively challenging beginning to his career through injury and illness, but he's shown great resilience to push through," Buckley said.
"He has taken great steps in the last 12 months and with an even run at it we're bullish about the type of football Tim will produce for many years to come."
