Canterbury winger Mitch Brown will join his Bulldogs teammate Michael Ennis at Cronulla next NRL season after agreeing to a two-year deal with the Sharks.

A Sharks junior, Brown, 26, will add much-needed depth to club's outside backs.

The 121-game veteran began his career with Cronulla in 2006 and spent four seasons there before moving on to the Wests Tigers for three seasons and then to the Dogs in 2013.

Brown has played mostly as a winger at the Dogs but can also cover centre and fullback.

He joins No.9 Ennis next year, the Canterbury skipper signing a two-year deal with Cronulla two months ago.

Brown has played 18 matches for the Dogs this year and has been named on the wing for the crucial round-23 match against Parramatta at ANZ Stadium on Friday.
