The Brumbies have vowed to not let back-room dramas derail their Super Rugby campaign, with co-captain Stephen Moore somewhat thankful the team is in South Africa and away from the unfolding crisis.
Chief executive Michael Jones returned to work in Canberra barely 36 hours after being stood down by the club's board following a scathing radio interview.
Jones won a temporary injunction against the franchise on Tuesday, reportedly using whistleblower laws and citing an alleged breach of contract to allow him to continue his duties until the case is heard again next week.
The Brumbies are currently on tour, and play the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein early on Sunday morning (AEDT).
Moore said coach Stephen Larkham spoke to the players about the situation, emphasising that "nothing changes for us".
"We just get on with doing our job, which is playing footy and preparing for the Cheetahs this weekend," he told ABC radio on Wednesday.
"It's really important game for us and we certainly have made a point to not be distracted by what's going on back home.
"It is a bit easier because we are away from Australia ... whilst it's unfortunate to see the club going through this type of drama, it's not something we can control as players."
The Brumbies remain on top of the Australia conference despite their 31-11 loss to the Stormers in Cape Town on Sunday.
Moore said it was disappointing to lose that match following three straight wins and a solid preparation.
But he was hopeful the side would turn thing around this week in a game played at high altitude.
"This competition is a long one so you can move on quickly and get our focus on the Cheetahs this weekend," he added.
"They'll be tough as well, they're a difficult team to beat at home."
