BRW's final print issue hits stands after 32 years

Today marks the end of an era in Australian publishing, with the final print edition of BRW hitting the stands.

By Rena Sarumpaet

Fairfax Media, the owner of the publication formerly known as Business Review Weekly, decided last month to axe the 32-year-old institution.

It will now shift to a digital platform, with the Rich List and other premium content migrating to the Financial Review.

Fairfax says the decision was forced by consumers preference for digital platforms, and a fragmenting advertising market.

But one former BRW journalist, Ali Cromie, insists a litany of bad management decisions killed the title.
