Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley says he's confident his AFL team will rebound with a strong showing against Melbourne on Sunday following their disappointing loss to St Kilda.

Buckley says, in recent times, his team have responded when they've been challenged.

While Collingwood president Eddie McGuire said midweek he would sack Buckley if he felt it was necessary, the coach said he didn't feel any extra pressure as he also expected an improved performance.
