Buffett's Business Wire hires cybersecurity firm after breach

Business Wire, the Berkshire Hathaway Inc. unit that distributes press releases for corporate clients, hired a cybersecurity firm and is cooperating with a U.S. probe into insider trading by people suspected of infiltrating its data.

"Despite extreme vigilance and commitment, recent events illustrate that no one is immune to the highly sophisticated illegal cyber-intrusions that are plaguing every aspect of our society," Cathy Baron Tamraz, chief executive officer of the unit at Warren Buffett's Berkshire, said in a statement Tuesday. The statement didn't identify the security firm that was hired.
