Bulldogs out to avenge Bad Friday

Canterbury says they are hoping to use their 'Bad Friday' rematch against South Sydney as a springboard to the NRL finals.

The last time Canterbury clashed with South Sydney the 'Bad Friday' aftermath nearly derailed their NRL season.

But now they hope to use Friday's grand final rematch at ANZ Stadium as a springboard to another charge at the title.

Three Bulldogs players including skipper James Graham copped suspensions from the now infamous round five meeting and Des Hasler's side slid into a form slump, losing four of their next five.

But sitting in seventh with three weeks to go the Dogs say a win over the premiers would give them the impetus they need to make a late run similar to their charge to the season decider last year.
