Bullet hole found in car in Sydney

Police have been called to the Sydney suburb of Auburn after reports of shooting in the early hours.

A small hole in a boot of a car has led police to believe there has been another shooting in Sydney's west.

Police turned up to Mary Street, Auburn after reports of shooting in the early hours of Tuesday.

Officers initially found no evidence of a shooting but continued to investigate.

On Wednesday evening, police were called to nearby Fletcher Street after a car was found to be damaged.

A small hole was found in the boot of the Blue Mazda.

Crime scene officers examined the car and surrounding area but did not find a projectile.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
